Traci Ray joined ICUF as the Vice President for Advocacy and Special Programs in September of 2019. Before joining the ICUF team, she served as the Budget Director for the Florida Agency for State Technology managing and overseeing the agency’s $67M budget. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Budget and Policy analyst in Governor Rick Scott’s administration, where she worked on budgetary and legislative issues for many of our state agencies.

At ICUF, Traci works with the ICUF President on state, student financial aid and legislative issues, including the Effective Access to Student Education (EASE) grant. Her Capitol duties include the ICUF Presidential Fellows and Ambassador Programs, the state Student Financial Aid Estimating Conference, as well as the State Budget and Legislative processes. She also works closely with the Florida Department of Education on Articulation matters affecting ICUF institutions. Traci manages business partnerships, known as the ICUF Preferred Vendors, that offer relevant products, goods and services for higher education, many with discounted rates and/or rebates to ICUF institutions.  She also serves as the coordinator of the ICUF Chief Financial Officers (CFO), Financial Aid Directors (FAD), Chief Information Officers (CIO), and the COVID-19 Coordinating Committee.
