Joy Roesner is the Executive Director of the Florida Independent Colleges & Universities Risk Management Association (FICURMA). FICURMA is a private educational risk retention pool that offers its members property, casualty, and other various lines of insurance. FICURMA provides its members many risk management resources, loss control programs, and other benefits. Its 14 members include institutions from the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) and the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS).

Joy has been with FICURMA since 2015 and oversees the operations and management of the organization. She earned her Juris Master from Florida State University, Master of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University, MBA from Southeastern University, and BS Business Administration and Finance from St. Petersburg College. She has earned the CPCU and ARM insurance designations. Joy is a member of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) and the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).
